Today I want to talk about Kombucha. That is obviously entirely unrelated to those Banana Oatmeal Cookies, but I know you won't mind.
Let me start off by saying that my husband beverages apple cider vinegar mixed with warm water every morning to reduce inflammation or anything like that.
He claims it is magical. I assert it's nasty.
While I understand this will seem dramatic (cause it is)I actually dry heave at the sight and smell of the morning ritual on a daily basis. He loves that about me.
Based on this response, one would believe I would stay far away from Kombucha, correct? I suggest, after all, it definitely comes with a vinegary tang.
But for any reason, I continue trying it. I Wish to enjoy it SO DANG BAD.

I'm really a marketer's fantasy because every single time I see somebody I know liking a sip, or even touting their favourite brand and flavor using a boomerang on Instagram, I am all,"Perhaps that one will actually taste acceptable!" .
Just imagine me using air quotes around the term enjoying because I find it hard to think this stuff is actually enjoyable in any sense of the term.
And spoiler alert. Not one of them taste great. None.
Even those that people claim are light really are a huge contraceptive for me personally. They still taste like freaking sweet vinegar.
I am basically sure that anyone who drinks this fermented tea stuff includes zero taste buds, or severely funky ones.

While I'm not claiming these banana oatmeal cookies are the least healthful (cause hello sugar and butter), I am claiming they are delicious.
They have the ideal amount of banana flavor and a lovely chewy texture thanks to its oats. The chocolate chips are merely an extra bonus.

Everybody who attempted these banana oatmeal biscuits believed they tasted much like banana bread, but obviously with an completely different texture. We dug it around here.
And in my opinion, they are great a terrific alternative to conventional banana bread.
A FEW NOTES ABOUT THESE BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES
These Banana Oatmeal Cookies have a soft, buttery feel. If you're searching for a traditional oatmeal cookie, this is not the cookie cutter you're looking for. If you are not a fan of oatmeal cookies my favourite chocolate chip biscuits, you could just become your new fave.
I enjoy these cookies somewhat about the left handed side, therefore I inhale them for 9 or 10 seconds. If you prefer these to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 minutes.

I will say that the oats almost makes them seem as a breakfast cookiecutter, therefore they are all sorts of amazing using a cup of coffee or tea first thing in the afternoon.
I did add some chopped peppers to a batch rather than chocolate chips, however, everybody definitely chosen the chocolate chips on the nuts.

These cookies are a great way to use up those super ripe bananas sitting on your counter tops right now. I will not even tell anyone that they're not actually breakfast biscuits. Enjoy!
BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES
YIELD: about 30 biscuits PREP TIME: 10 minnutes COOK TIME: 10 minutes
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 large egg
1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup pops flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
3 1/4 cup old fashioned oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
From the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a big bowl using an electric mixer, beat the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and then blend in the egg until fully incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl again and add in the skillet and vanilla.
In a medium bowlwhisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
Gradually add the the flour mixture to the banana mixture and blend until just combined.
Scrape the sides of the bowl and stir to recombine.
Stir in over here the oats and chocolate chips and mix until incorporated.
Use a moderate cookie scoop (approximately 1.5 tbsp ) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes.
Remove cookies from the oven and gently press the shirts of each cookie with the base of a drinking glass. Since these cookies don't spread considerably, this can help give them a conventional cookie form.
Enable the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool thoroughly.
